While working on its startup, Michiel got offered a job to relocate to Microsoft's European headquarters in Dublin. In so many aspects of ones life, being able to sell is necessary to succeed. Therefore, Michiel decided to accept the offer to learn from one of the best companies in the industry. He started a technical sales role for Azure workloads and later moved into Data and AI workloads specifically.
In his role, Michiel focused on helping Dutch enterprises adopt Azure's Data and AI solutions. He spearheaded data estate modernizations and guided the migration of Hadoop to Azure Databricks. Michiel's deep technical knowledge, coupled with his ability to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience, was key in enabling customers to execute their digital transformation plans. By leveraging Azure's cloud services, he helped businesses enhance their data governance, boost business intelligence, and foster innovation.
